The Txuri Urdin club continues to grow in the world of esports
Real Sociedad announced that it will be one of the first teams to join a new esports competition, the League of Professional Esports (LPE). They will do so under the management of Esportia. The Basque club has chosen the company to professionalize and enhance its esports section, as other First Division clubs have already done, such as VIllarreal, Getafe, Eibar, and Betis. The states that electronic sports “a phenomenon that shows no sign of stopping growth that connections millions of people, especially younger generations.” This presents a new opportunity to expand the Real brand around the world.
More details will be released in the coming weeks. The competition will be the first professional esports league that will bring together official sports clubs. The tournament will begin mid-January.
