Working together with sports clubs is fundamental, in order to boost the professionalization of the sector and to increase its recognition
Recently the sports media have begun to understand the importance of esports. In a big step towards increasing the presence of esports in traditional sports spaces, last week Esportia Latam manager Dario Perez presented our newest project in the Latam market to ESPN Mexico’s audience.
Perez chatted on ESPN esports with Eitan Benezra and Andres Jamit about Esportia’s mission. Working together with sports clubs is fundamental, not only in order to boost the professionalization of the sector but also to increase its recognition among a public that currently doesn’t esports. In this context, traditional entities like sports clubs are indispensable since that can “Carry the flag” of esports before a larger audience.
Perez was accompanied by Hugo “Kiki” Abonza, player of Clash Royale for Chivas of Guadalajara. The player highlighted the forward-thinking nature of clubs working with Esportia and how they encourage more young people to participate in Clash Royale competitions in hopes of joining a team like Chivas.
