The online tournament was one of the 25th-anniversary events for the Andorran Football Federation and featured the popular Andorran YouTuber ‘Spursito’
Esportia held the first FAF Cup for FIFA 19 last Saturday. Part of the 25th anniversary of the Andorran Football Federation, the online tournament saw eight top-level esports teams participate, most of them from La Liga. The champion was Levante UD after a tight final against Real Betis. The tournament also featured the participation of popular Andorran YouTuber, Marti ‘Spursito’ Miras.
The FAF entered the world of esports in 2017, partnering with Esportia. They organized a draft with the aim of finding the best players in the area. One of the qualifiers was Adam ‘Wilkshare’ Martin, current representative for FIF 19 and the FAF Cup and nearly reached the finals of this event. Wilkshare played from the headquarters of the Federation in an event also organized by Esportia.
In addition to the FAF itself, Levante UD, Real Betis, Villarreal CF, Getafe CF, Real Sociedad, SD Eibar, and Nastic de Terragona also participated. The FAF Cup was also an opportunity to see the quality of each player in detail since all the matches were played with teams matched to 85.
The tournament featured a prize-pool of 40,000 FIFA Point and during Esportia’s broadcast of the event on Twitch viewers could participate in multiple raffles.
